Monkey Forest Ubud

We went to the Monkey Forest on day 1 as the kids were eager to meet those charming creatures …. Entry fee of 20000 for an adult and 10000 for kids…
We strolled in and we had not yet done 300 metres that Hayden was attacked by a bunch of crazy monkeys who must have thought that his foot was a banana as they grabbed onto it and pinched it …This put a brutal halt to our wondering around as Hayden was very upset and I carried him from then on until we had left the place.
I have to say he was very good as I did brief them beforehand to say that running away and screaming is a bad idea as they could go loopy loo and Hayden did not even cry when they did it and just froze until I lifted him off the ground..
So the forest is nice but the monkeys can be vicious so I would suggest hiking boots to cover feet and long trousers and tops to avoid scratches!!!
